BMW Motorrad has launched their gigantic R18 Transcontinental Cruiser in India.

BMW Motorrad has launched their gigantic R18 Transcontinental Cruiser in India. This is the third bike of the R18 series in this country. The two models launched earlier are the R18 and R18 Classic. Belonging to the superbike segment, this new cruiser bike has an ex-showroom price of Tk 31.50 lakh. The company has already started the booking of R18 Transcontinental from the showrooms of this company spread in different parts of India.

Built by BMW Motorrad, this super bike is powered by a 1802 cc flat twin engine with two cylinders. This engine is provided with air and oil cooling system. This engine produces a maximum power of 89 bhp at 4,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 158 Nm at 3,000 rpm.

This engine is capable of producing a maximum torque of 150 Nm even between 2000-3000 rpm. All torque is delivered to the rear wheels via a six-speed gear box via shaft drive technology. In addition, anti-hopping clutch is used to prevent the rear wheel from lifting under any circumstances. A reverse gear system is also available as an option.
